    Creative Cheesecake

Make your cheesecake your own by adding a personal touch. Follow your instincts and switch up the flavours in the crust, batter, or toppings.

    Crust

    • Add ½ tsp cinnamon or ginger to crumbs
    • Substitute ½ cup ground pecans, almonds, walnuts, peanuts or macadamia nuts for ½ cup graham cracker crumbs
    • Substitute 1½ cups vanilla, chocolate or ginger wafer crumbs for graham cracker crumbs

    Batter

    Stir in:
    • Semi-sweet, milk or white chocolate chips (try one or all three)
    • Chopped chocolate-covered English Toffee
    • Chopped candy bars
    • Chopped chocolate sandwich cookies
    • Dried cranberries

    Toppings

    • Cool Whip Topping
    • Sour cream
    • Fresh fruit slices
    • Canned pie fillings
    • Fruit preserves
    • Lemon or orange twists
    • Chocolate curls
    • Chopped chocolate
    • Crushed candy bars
    • Nuts
    • Ice Cream sauce or topping
    • Drizzled, melted chocolate
    • Chopped dried fruit (i.e. cranberries, banana chips, apricots etc.)
    • Toasted coconut

    Party Size it!

    • Recipes for 9-inch spring form pans can be doubled to serve a crowd. Simply double all the ingredients and use a 13 x 9-inch pan for party-size cakes. Lining the pan with a double thickness of foil will make it easier to lift out. Cutting and serving is easier if you freeze your cheesecake before removing it from the pan.
