Types of Baking Pans
The fluted tube pan, round cake pan and springform pan are used for different baking applications:
The fluted tube pan is the best choice when baking dense cakes. The design of this pan allows the heat to be conducted toward the center of the batter, allowing the cake to rise and bake evenly.
The 9-inch round cake pan is traditionally used for baking layer cakes.
A springform pan, with its removable outer rim, allows for the easy release of cheesecakes, tortes and other delicate desserts when the rim of the pan is removed.
