"I love this method of cooking meat and vegetables. It’s great for a weeknight dinner because all the elements of the meal are ready at the same time, and (even better) there’s no mess."
- Kraft Kitchens Expert Tracy Sherva

Pressed for time at dinnertime? At the Kraft Kitchens, we’ve perfected the foil-pack dinner – a unique cooking technique that’s a terrific solution to weeknight madness. These individual packs are easy to make and drastically reduce your cleanup time – just throw the foil away when you’re finished! Here are the simple steps for using this technique with chicken. The result is fantastic: meat that’s tasty and tender, and rice and veggies that are infused with the chicken’s flavourful juices.

Follow these easy steps for foil packed dinners:

Foil-Pack Dinners - Step 1

1. Preheat oven to 400°F. Mix rice and water in small bowl; set aside. Mix barbecue sauce, peanut butter and soy sauce in another bowl; set aside. Dividing evenly, place rice in centre of 4 separate sheets of heavy-duty aluminum foil.

2. Layer chicken, vegetables and barbecue sauce mixture on top of rice, dividing evenly between each of the 4 foil packs.

3. Bring up foil sides. Double fold top and ends to seal pack, leaving room for heat circulation inside.

Foil-Pack Dinners - Step 4

4. Complete all 4 foil packs and place on 15x10x1-inch baking pan. Bake 30 to 35 minutes or until chicken is cooked through. Remove from oven. Let stand 5 minutes.

Foil-Pack Dinners - Step 5

5. Place packs directly on dinner plate. As packs are hot, cut slits into foil using a knife to release steam before opening. Makes 4 servings.
