Caramelizing Onions

Cooking onions slowly over medium heat brings out their sweetness and gives them rich golden colour. It's an easy way to add an elegant touch to many dishes.
Ingredients:
2 medium onions
1 Tbsp. oil
1-1/2 tsp. sugar
2 Tbsp. Kraft Signature Balsamic Vinaigrette
Just Follow Our Simple Steps:
1.
Peel 2 medium onions, then cut into 1/4 inch-thick slices. You should have about 2 cups onion slices.
2. Heat 1 Tbsp. oil in large fry pan on medium heat. Add onions; cook 20 to 25 minutes or until lightly browned, stirring occasionally. Stir in 1-1/2 tsp. sugar; cook 5 minutes or until golden brown, stirring occasionally.
3. Drizzle with 2 Tbsp. Kraft Signature Balsamic Vinaigrette before serving. Spoon onto grilled burgers, steak, chicken or baked potatoes.
Makes 4 servings, 1/4 cup each.

Tips:
- Scatter over bruschetta, focaccia bread or salads for a mellow, sweet topping.
- Sprinkle on Delissio Pizza.
- Serve on the side with your next roast.
