Freezing Coffee
Coffee can be stored in the freezer after opening and will last up to 6 months following the same precaution of returning the coffee to the freezer immediately after use. Do not allow coffee to come to room temperature. Recommended airtight coffee container materials are: glass with a rubber gasket, plastic and metal. Glass is optimal as it doesn't absorb odours and flavours.
Maxwell House Vacuum Packs keeps roast and ground coffee as fresh as if just roasted. The vacuum pack contains natural minerals, which absorb the carbon dioxide naturally produced during roasting and released during the grinding of coffee. Any oxygen, also naturally present, which causes product to stale, is also absorbed.
Fact:Vacuum packing is a natural way of preserving freshness without adding preservative to products. Unopened coffee can be stored for about two years because it is vacuum packed.
