  • To make dishes easier, line baking pans and casserole dishes with foil. Mould the foil over the bottom of the pan then pop the pre-formed foil into the pan!
  • Fill the sink with hot soapy water and clean as you go.
  • Fill pots with water after serving food onto plates - they'll soak while you eat and make clean up less work.
  • Empty the dishwasher before cooking dinner - so the dirty dishes can go right in after the meal.
  • Line the sink with newspaper and peel fruits and veggies over it. For easy clean up, just gather up the paper and throw it away.
  • For no-mess marinating, put meat and marinade in a resealable plastic bag. Turn bag occasionally while meat is marinating. Or, freeze the bag of meat and marinade and when it thaws in the refrigerator the meat will marinade itself.
  • Use cookware that is made to go in the freezer, microwave or oven.
  • Whip out grease debris from pans with paper towel before washing.
  • Use an old toothbrush to clean small spaces, like the holes of a garlic press or strainers.
