How We Define Healthy Living in the Kraft Kitchens

Each year on average in the Kraft Kitchens, we develop 4,000 recipes and conduct 200 product performance tests, 800 product evaluations and 85 competitive assessments. Our staff consists of Home Economists, Professional Chefs and Registered Dietitians, all hired because we are passionate about food and cooking, and because we are committed to the concept of "Healthy Living ".

Our idea of "Healthy Living" is based on the thought that diet and physical activity are equally important to maintaining a healthy lifestyle. That's why you'll find tips on healthy eating, as well as ideas to help get you moving.


Our Healthy Living Recipes are mindful of calories, total fat, saturated fat, cholesterol and sodium levels as outlined in Health Canada's Nutrition Recommendations for Canadians 2001. You can always tell one of our Healthy Living recipes - simply look for the sun symbol!
