Ingredients:
- 4 egg whites
- 1 pinch cream of tartar
- 1 cup sugar
- 1/4 tsp vanilla
- 1 to 2 cups chocolate chips
Preparation
preheat oven to 350
beat egg whites and cream of tartar until soft peaks form
gradually add sugar, continuing to beat. Add vanilla.
continue beating until hard peaks form and mixture is glossy
fold in chocolate chips
line baking sheets with parchment paper and drop cookies by teaspoonful onto sheets.
turn oven off and quickly put in baking pans, immediately closing doors so as not to let heat out.
cookies will dry in oven. After oven is completely cooled, check cookies. If too soft, take pans out of oven, reheat oven to 250, and the turn off heat and put pans back in for several more hours.
