I have made many variations of this depending what I have on hand and have covered it with whole almonds for a pine cone-ish effect. Presents very well and always tastes good.

Tasty! I substituted the real onion and red pepper (I didn't have any on hand at the time!) for onion flakes and 1/2 tsp of red peppercorns -- everyone loved it! If you want to make it spicy just make it a full tsp of red peppercorns!

I have been making this for years now. I substitute the onion with green onions and sometimes add some crumbled blue cheese in also for more nip. I have at times added a can of drained shrimp or crab in for a different version as well :)

Soooo yummy!!! I don't really like nuts so I didn't use the pecans or cayenne pepper (since I didn't have any) and it was FANTASTIC! Definitely recommend this recipe.

I originally got this recipe off a Ritz cracker box and have made it ever since. My guests rave about it and ask for the recipe. It is simple but the absolute best cheeseball I have ever had!

Everyone loves this cheeseball when I make it. I use pimento instead of red pepper as this was in the original Kraft recipe from many years ago.

I will definately make this again. It makes so much that I ended up making two balls - one covered with the pecans and another one with old cheddar cheese.

I've made this cheeseball for years, but I add about 1/2 - 3/4 cup of finely chopped black forest ham, or cooked bacon, and approx 1 tblsp of Miracle Whip. It gives a little extra zing to the flavor. Always a holiday favorite in our house.
