I didn't have any stewed tomato. So I did the kidney beans and a cup of chunky salsa and a woodspoon scoop of Cheez wiz. My daughter loved it.

We are seniors who don't like heavy meals at night.I made standard KD last night and added in a 28 oz.can of drained Italian seasoned tomatoes.I grated a bit of sharp cheddar and Parmesan over the top, poked pre-cooked frozen meatballs into the casserole dish and baked it until bubbly. My husband and I loved it - easy, quick & comforting and with a spinach/Mandarin side salad, I think I covered all the food groups!

This recipe is very yummy, filling, quick and easy too. I made mine with tuna, peas, and mushroom soup.I also added a tablespoon of cheez-whiz,and instead of frozen peas I added canned peas it added a little extra flavour. My whole family loved it even my husband who doesn't like tuna. It is a recipe we will definetly have again.
