What You Need

1/2 lb. Italian sausage, sliced

1 onion, chopped

1/2 green pepper, chopped

2 cloves garlic, minced

1 Tbsp. chili powder

1/2 tsp. cumin

2 cans (14 fl oz / 396 mL) pasta sauce

4 cups rotini pasta

1 cup Kraft Double Cheddar Shredded Cheese, divided

3/4 cup pitted black olives

1 cup baby corn

1 can (19 fl oz / 540 mL) kidney beans, drained and rinsed

Make It

BROWN sausage, onion, pepper and garlic in large frypan over medium heat. Stir in spices and pasta sauce. Bring to boil, reduce heat and simmer 15 minutes.

COOK pasta according to package directions, drain and rinse. Toss with sausage mixture, 3/4 cups cheese, olives, corn and beans. Spoon into casserole dish and sprinkle with remaining cheese. Cover and bake at 350°F for 10 minutes.

Great recipe! To make it faster and simpler substitute a jar of your fave salsa for the tomato sauce, peppers and onion.

It was relatively quick to prepare and had lots of flavour. I didn't need to add any salt! I think next time I will add mushrooms when cooking the sausage mix. Delicious, will make again!

What a delicious recipe!!...tasted great and so easy to make..lots of great flavours that taste very good all together..this is one of my new favoutite recipes..thanks Kraft :)

Loved it!! You do need to use a LARGE skillet for the end mix before adding to casserole dish. I used a 9X13 casserole dish & it was full. Also used up some leftover items like red for green pepper, KRAFT pepper cheese for Cheddar, and frozen corn niblets. Baked as indicated, then uncovered for another 10 minutes @ 400 to give a little browning set to the top.

great dinner for the family. One thing you could try is a can of chilli style beans which has spices already added and two types of beans, worked out great for me.

I wasn't quite sure if my family would like a casserole dish..but with the chili powder added, they loved it! I used both mild and hot italian sausauge..it was a big hit!!
