I set out with great expectations, given the other reviews, but was terribly disappointed. I cooked this recipe an extra 45 minutes, and still, it turned out like mush. I've never had a cake fall before, so I can't say for sure that's what happened, but what I do know is all I was left with was a doughy mess. The pineapple all sank to the bottom, forming a saturated glob. I'm so glad I hadn't prepared this for company - only my family was disappointed!
I've tried quite a few Kraft recipes before and have only had success, even if they weren't necessarily to my taste, which made this even more of a disappointment.
So much for shortcuts! I guess tomorrow, I'll make a real carrot cake!
