Great to have a new slow cooker recipe. This warrants being made for company coming.

Great recipe! I added more Italian-type spices, such as oregano and basil. However, it took me one hour, yes! one hour, to assemble the food into the cooker. Your estimate of 15 minutes for preparation must be AFTER all the vegetables are cut-up and the chicken has been browned. It might take only 15 minutes if there are three or four chefs preparing the dish (like in the Kraft kitchen, maybe?).

This was easy to make, a slow-cooker makes it easier. i added a little extra water so it almost turned out like a stew. its a keeper

Very easy to make, but found it too runny so added tomatoe paste to thicken. Needed to be spiced up more as I found it a bit bland.

I made this meal today and it was pretty good. The house smelled wonderful all day long. I did add in extra garlic and I used a can of stewed tomatoes (19oz) that I had on hand already. I also used the Kraft House Italian salad dressing in place of the Zesty Italian. You could actually eat just the chicken pan fried in the Kraft House Italian. It was wonderful on its own. The chicken was so juicy and tender and fell right off the bones. I found that this really didn't take all that much preparation time too. I made a whole wheat pasta to go with this and we really enjoyed it. Next time I would probably add a little more spice for flavoring and take the lid off at the end to thicken up the sauce a little.

It turned out perfect!! and it was my first time using the slow cooker. I used about 14 chicken pieces(drumsticks & thighs), and a large can of crushed tomatoes to make it extra saucy, and a bay leaf for a nice flavor. The chicken is sooo tender, just falling off the bone. I like the fact there will be leftovers for tommorrow night.I we ate all the rice tonight I might try serving over noodles tommorrow just to make it a bit different. It a five star and going in the recipe box.
