What You Need

2 pkg. (8 squares each) Baker's Semi-Sweet Chocolate, divided
1/4 cup butter, softened
3/4 cup packed brown sugar
1/2 cup Kraft Peanut Butter
2 eggs
1 tsp. vanilla
1/2 cup flour
1/4 tsp. Magic Baking Powder
2 cups chopped peanuts

Make It

HEAT oven to 350°F.

CHOP 8 chocolate squares coarsely; set aside. Microwave remaining chocolate squares in large microwaveable bowl on MEDIUM 2 min., stirring after 1 min. Stir until chocolate is completely melted. Add next 5 ingredients; mix well. Stir in flour and baking powder. Add chopped chocolate and nuts; mix well.

DROP rounded tablespoonfuls of dough, 2 inches apart, onto baking sheets.

BAKE 12 to 13 min. or until cookies are puffed and shiny. Cool on baking sheets 1 min.; remove to wire racks. Cool completely.

Note
If omitting nuts, increase flour to 3/4 cup to prevent excessive spreading of cookies as they bake.
Size-Wise
Serve one of these decadent chocolatey cookies along with a glass of skim milk as a special after-school treat.
Double Chocolate Bliss Toasted Almond Cookies
Prepare as directed, substituting 1 pkg. (6 squares) Baker's White Chocolate, coarsely chopped, for the chopped semi-sweet chocolate and 2 cups toasted slivered almonds for the peanuts.
