BAKER'S ONE BOWL Chocolate Bliss Peanut Butter Cookies

2 pkg. (8 squares each) BAKER'S Semi-Sweet Chocolate, divided
3/4 cup  firmly packed brown sugar
1/2 cup KRAFT Peanut Butter
1/4 cup  butter, slightly softened
2 eggs
1 tsp.  vanilla
1/2 cup flour
1/4 tsp.  MAGIC Baking Powder
2 cups chopped peanuts

PREHEAT oven to 350°F. Coarsely chop 8 of the chocolate squares; set aside. Microwave remaining 8 chocolate squares in large microwaveable bowl on HIGH 2 min., stirring after 1 min. Stir until chocolate is completely melted. Add sugar, peanut butter, butter, eggs and vanilla; stir until well blended. Add flour and baking powder; mix well. Stir in chopped chocolate and peanuts.

DROP rounded tablespoonfuls of dough, 2 inches apart, onto ungreased baking sheets.

BAKE 12 to 13 min. or until cookies are puffed and shiny. Cool 1 min.; remove from baking sheets to wire racks. Cool completely.

Cooking Know-How
To avoid a thin dough, use slightly softened, not completely softened butter. Do not melt the butter before using.
Storage Know-How
After cookies are completely cooled, wrap in plastic wrap and place in airtight container or freezer-weight resealable plastic bag. Place in freezer. Cookies can be frozen for up to 1 month. Bring cookies to room temperature before serving.
Double Chocolate Bliss Macadamia Cookies
Prepare as directed, substituting 1 pkg. (6 squares) BAKER'S White Chocolate, coarsely chopped, for the chopped semi-sweet chocolate and 2 cups chopped macadamias for the peanuts.
