what you need

1/4 cup Kraft Balsamic Vinaigrette Dressing
1 beef brisket (3-1/2 lb./1.6 kg), 2 inches thick
2 large onions, sliced
3 carrots, peeled, cut into 1-inch chunks
1 cup water
1 cup dry red wine
1/2 cup Kraft Brown Sugar BarBQ Sauce

HEAT oven to 350ºF. Heat dressing in large skillet on medium-high heat. Add meat; cook 5 min. on each side or until browned on both sides.

TRANSFER meat to roasting pan. Surround with vegetables.

MIX water, wine and barbecue sauce. Pour over meat; cover with lid or foil. Bake 2-1/2 to 3 hours or until meat is done (160ºF). Let stand, covered, 10 min.

PUT vegetables into blender with slotted spoon; blend until smooth. Add 1 cup of the braising liquid; blend well.

CUT meat across the grain into thin slices. Serve topped with the sauce.

Serve with hot mashed or roasted potatoes.
Special Extra
Add 1 Tbsp. chopped fresh thyme to the braising liquid.
