What You Need

2 Tbsp. butter
1/4 cup  chopped onions
2 Tbsp. flour
3 cups  milk
250 g VELVEETA Process Cheese Product, cut up (about 1-1/2 cups)
1 pkg.  (750 g) frozen chopped broccoli, thawed, drained

Make It

MELT butter in large saucepan on medium heat. Add onions; cook and stir 5 min. or until onions are tender. Add flour; cook 1 min. or until bubbly, stirring constantly.

STIR in milk. Bring to boil. Reduce heat to medium-low; simmer 1 min.

ADD remaining ingredients. Cook until Velveeta is melted and soup is heated through, stirring occasionally.

How To Thaw Broccoli
For the quickest thaw, place unwrapped frozen broccoli in microwaveable bowl and thaw in microwave as directed on package.
Use Your Microwave
Place onions and butter in 2-qt. microwaveable casserole dish or bowl. Microwave on HIGH 30 sec. to 1 min. or until onions are tender. Stir in flour. Add remaining ingredients; mix well. Microwave 6 to 8 min. or until Velveeta is melted and soup is heated through, stirring after 4 min.

" Although this recipe is extremly easy to make, I must be perfectly honest. We (my family) have tried many of the KRAFT recipes and this is the first one that we have not liked. The Broccoli is very over powering. We tried to add more cheese and even a little garlic to balance out the flavors but it didnt work. "
