Chunky Chocolate-Jam  Bars recipe

What You Need

1-1/2 cups flour
1 cup packed brown sugar
1 tsp. Magic Baking Powder
1 cup cold butter
1-1/2 cups quick-cooking oats
1/2 cup flaked coconut
1/2 cup chopped pecans, toasted
5 oz. Baker's Semi-Sweet Chocolate, coarsely chopped
1 jar (250 mL) Kraft Pure Raspberry Jam

Make It

HEAT oven to 350°F.

LINE 13x9-inch pan with foil, with ends of foil extending over sides. Spray with cooking spray. Mix flour, sugar and baking powder in large bowl. Cut in butter with pastry blender or 2 knives until mixture resembles coarse crumbs. Add oats, coconut and nuts; mix well.

PRESS half the crumb mixture into bottom of pan; sprinkle with chocolate. Spoon jam over top; cover with remaining crumb mixture.

BAKE 25 to 30 min. or until lightly browned. Use foil handles to remove transfer dessert from pan to wire rack. Cool completely before cutting into bars.

How to Toast Nuts
Heat oven to 350°F. Spread nuts in single layer on baking sheet. Bake 5 to 7 min. or until lightly toasted.
Cooking Know-How
If you don't have a pastry blender, use 2 knives in a crisscross fashion to quickly and easily cut the butter into the flour mixture.
