MIX 2 cups of softened butter with 1 cup fine sugar* then stir in 4 cups flour.
SHAPE cookie dough into 1 in balls and flatten cookies slightly and place on an ungreased parchment or foil-lined cookie sheet. Indent centres of cookies with your thumb and bake at 350°F (180°C) for 10-14 minutes or until lightly browned. Fill thumbprints with your favourite KRAFT Jam, Jelly or Fruit Spread. Remove cookies and cool on wire racks.
