Easy No-Cook Strawberry Jam

Makes 5 (1-cup/250-mL) jars

What You Need!

1-3/4 cups crushed strawberries (about 1 qt./1 L whole strawberries)
4 cups  sugar
1 pouch CERTO Liquid Pectin
2 Tbsp.  lemon juice

Make It!

MEASURE prepared fruit into large bowl. Add sugar; mix well. Let stand 10 min.

STIR in pectin and lemon juice. Continue to stir for 3 min. or until most of the sugar is dissolved.

POUR immediately into sterilized jars or plastic freezer containers. Seal with sterilized two-piece lids with new centres. Store in freezer for up to 1 year or if used within 3 weeks, jam may be stored in the refrigerator.

Special Extra
For added flavour, add 1 Tbsp. grated orange or lemon peel to the crushed strawberries before mixing with remaining ingredients as directed.

I now make this jam every summer and freeze it as my kids absolutely love it! Even my neighbours kids ask for a jar! It is easy and good...sweet is how jam should be!"
