What You Need

1 can (10 fl oz/284mL) condensed cream of mushroom soup

1 cup Cheez Whiz Cheese Spread

1/2 cup sour cream

1 tsp. black pepper

3 lb. (1.5 kg) Yukon gold potatoes (about 9), sliced

1 large onion, sliced, separated into rings

Make It

HEAT oven to 350ºF.

MIX first 4 ingredients in large bowl. Add potatoes and onions; toss to evenly coat.

SPOON into 13x9-inch baking dish; cover.

BAKE 1 hour 30 min. or until potatoes are tender.

Special Extra

Sprinkle with 1/2 cup Oscar Mayer Real Bacon Bits just before serving.

Variation

Prepare as directed, using light sour cream and Cheez Whiz Light Process Cheese Product.

I made this for large family get together and I am asked to bring it all the time now. I use cream of garlic and mushroom soup instead and I top with shape cheddar cheese.

So easy, so cheesey and my picky kids loved it. My daughter had no idea there was mushroom soup in it, and usually she can pick it out. She hates mushrooms that much. Will definitely make again.

This is an awesome recipe. I found it in the edition of What's Cooking Magazine. It is so much faster than my usual recipe that calls for layering. The taste is out of this world. I will definitely be making this again..very soon. A definite keeper.

Made this one for visitors at Easter and everyone loved. I did not have Cheez Whiz process so I just added some shredded cheese and it worked perfectly. It is overall very tasty and I would for sure do it again.

Yummy and so easy. I found the cheese a bit over-powering so next time I think I will reduce the cheese-whiz by a 1/4 cup or so. I will also try adding a few more seasonings (garlic or nutmeg perhaps).
