What You Need!

1 pkg. (250 g) PHILADELPHIA Brick Cream Cheese, softened
1/4 cup  butter, softened
1 cup sugar
1 cup  mashed ripe bananas (about 3 bananas)
2 eggs
2-1/4 cups  flour
1-1/2 tsp. MAGIC Baking Powder
1/2 tsp.  baking soda
1 cup chopped walnuts

Make It!

HEAT oven to 350°F. Beat cream cheese, butter and sugar in large bowl with mixer until well blended. Add bananas and eggs; mix well. Add combined dry ingredients; mix just until moistened. Stir in nuts.

POUR into greased and floured 9x5-inch loaf pan.

BAKE 1 hour 10 min. or until toothpick inserted in centre comes out clean. Cool 5 min.; remove from pan to wire rack. Cool completely before slicing to serve. Refrigerate leftovers

How to Soften Cream Cheese
Place completely unwrapped package of cream cheese in microwaveable bowl. Microwave on HIGH 15 sec. or just until softened. Add 15 sec. for each additional package of cream cheese.

" This is a very yummy recipe, although I agree that you definately need to use a larger pan, or use 2 smaller pans. The top of mine fell over the side of the pan and spilled into the oven, and the top was overcooked because it took so long to get the middle done. But otherwise a very delicious banana bread!"
