What You Need

1 pkg. (2-layer size) yellow cake mix

1 pkg. (4-serving size) Jell-O Vanilla Instant Pudding

4 eggs

2/3 cup sour cream

2/3 cup water

1/2 cup oil

1 cup packed brown sugar

1 cup chopped pecans

2 tsp. icing sugar

Make It

HEAT oven to 350ºF.

BEAT first 6 ingredients with mixer 3 min. or until well blended. Add brown sugar and nuts; mix well.

POUR into 3-L fluted tube pan or 10-inch tube pan sprayed with cooking spray.

BAKE 1 hour or until toothpick inserted near centre comes out clean. Cool cake in pan 15 min. Loosen cake from sides of pan; invert onto wire rack. Remove pan; cool cake completely. Sprinkle with icing sugar just before serving.

Serve topped with cut-up fresh fruit.

Sprinkle pan with combined 2 Tbsp. granulated sugar and 1/4 tsp. ground cinnamon after spraying with cooking spray. Then fill with batter and bake as directed.

I have made this cake many times and it is lovely! I just changed it up and found a new favorite for the family. Swap the vanilla pudding for lemon pudding and cut the brown sugar down to 1/2 cup. Add 1/2 cup sweetened shredded coconut! Devine lemon coconut cake! Try it!

This was very easy to make and delicious would make again next week. Forgot the cinnamon sugar step and it was still great. Next time i will do that step.

My family loves this recipe! It is very moist and has turned out great every time. Quick and easy to make as well. The first time I made this recipe was for a work function, all loved it there too and asked for the recipe. This is a staple in our house.

Have made this 5 times and is the "go to" snack cake for our family. Flavour is so yummmmmy. Made it last weekend, and my husband and I polished it off in 2 1/2 days. None left for my son! First piece always leaves you wanting a 2nd, bigger piece!

This cake turned out delicious. I added about 1/2 cup semi sweet chocolate chips instead of the pecans. My family loved it and there were no leftovers! I highly recommend trying this recipe.
