If the cake is very soft and crumbly, apply a “crumb coating” to prevent cake crumbs from mixing with the frosting. Spread a thin layer of frosting over the entire cake, then let stand 5 to 10 min. or until frosting is set. Spread remaining frosting over cake.
Lining the baking pan with foil makes for easy cleanup and easy removal of the cake from the baking pan. When lining the pan, allow 3 inches of the foil to extend over each side of pan to use as handles when removing the cake from the pan.
Make sure cakes are completely cooled before frosting. A warm cake can cause the frosting to soften or melt.

Not quite as easy as I thought to put together but still turned out OK. The pudding was too thick to pour and didn't really result in a poke cake (more like chocolate icing) but everyone liked it.
Made this cake twice for my sons 9th Birthday and it was a great hit, the kids were amazed!!!
I made this for a cake walk at school and all the kids were hoping to win it! It was a great hit!And super easy to make.
