Jet-Puffed Marshmallows

Oreo Cookies

Decorating gel

Pretzel sticks

Red string licorice

make it

SPREAD icing on end of 1 marshmallow; place icing-side down on top of cookie. Spread icing on both ends of another marshmallow and stack it on the first. Top with a third marshmallow to make the snowman.

USE decorating gel to draw the eyes, nose and mouth on top marshmallow.

INSERT 2 pretzels into middle marshmallow of snowman for the arms. Cut a 6-inch length of licorice and tie around neck for a scarf.

Jazz It Up

Insert Jet-Puffed Miniature Marshmallows onto end of the each pretzel stick for mittens and/or make earmuffs using an additional small red licorice piece and 2 additional miniature marshmallows.

My daughter and I thought this was a super cool craft! We used royal icing instead of commercial icing and it worked great! We first tried honey and let the layers set before stacking. It worked, but took too long. The royal icing was fun...and we even added red and green food colouring to the icing between the layers for a punch of colour. It's definitely a great project for the little ones! They'll love it no matter how they turn out!

I made these using wooden skewers to hold them together. Didn't use the cookie as a base. Served them in a tall glass full of mini marshmallows! Looked great!

Yes, insert a pretzel into the marshmellows for support! We used melted marshmellows instead of icing and allowed the cookie and 3 marshmellows to set lying down on a cookie sheet in the fridge. Once they had set, there was no problems adding the finishing touches. Very cute at Christmas dinner place settings. Decorating is kid friendly but the assembly to set stage is not.

Was so excited to make these with my son, and i was very disappointed when the marshmallows wouldn't stick together. Had to lean them up against each other so they wouldn't fall over. Decorating icing does not work. we are now trying toothpicks in between the layers. marshmallows are too soft and they flip over .

These were such a disappointment! They would not stand up, even when using the pretzels as an anchor. Don't waste your time!

we tried to make them with my son's kindergarten class, they were very cute and the kids had a great time but they would'nt stay standing on the cookie even though we tried a different cookie.

We made these for our Nursery School Holiday event. Really cute. Two suggestions: one, use a buttercream icing (canned won't work), and a pretzel stick inserted between the body parts help hold it together. Nice to look at too sweet to eat the whole thing!

My 4 year old made these. They were very easy and quick to make... we inserted thin stir sticks through the marshmallows as the icing took some time to harden and the marshmallows began to slide off and droop over. My son had a blast making them... not to mention handing them out to his friends to enjoy and devour !
