What You Need

1/4 cup Kraft Extra Virgin Olive Oil Tuscan Italian Dressing
1/2 lb. (225 g) Italian sausage, casing removed
2 green onions, sliced
2 cloves garlic, minced
1 cup dry white wine
2 lb. (900 g) mussels, cleaned, scrubbed with beards removed
1 tsp. finely chopped fresh rosemary

Make It

HEAT dressing in large saucepan. Add sausage, onions and garlic; cook 5 min., stirring occasionally to break up sausage. Stir in wine; bring to boil, stirring occasionally.

DISCARD any mussels with cracked or broken shells. Add remaining mussels to sausage mixture; cover. Cook 5 to 8 min. or until most the mussel shells open. Remove and discard any unopened shells.

SPRINKLE with rosemary.

Keeping it Safe
It is important that mussels are discarded if the shells are damaged or do not open during cooking. These are signs that the mussels are not safe to eat.
Substitute
Substitute chicken broth for the wine.
How to Clean Mussels
Rinse mussels under cold running water, pulling off the beards that are attached at the bottoms of the shells.
