What You Need

1 roasting chicken (3 lb./1.4 kg), cut up

1/3 cup Kraft Calorie-Wise Rancher's Choice Dressing

1 pouch Shake'N Bake Extra Crispy Original Coating Mix

Make It

REMOVE skin from all chicken pieces except wings. Place chicken in shallow glass dish. Pour dressing over chicken; turn to coat both sides of each piece. Refrigerate 30 min. to marinate.

HEAT oven to 400°F. Place coating mix on plate. Add chicken, 1 piece at a time; turn to evenly coat both sides. Place on baking sheet. Sprinkle with any remaining coating mix.

BAKE 40 to 45 min. or until chicken is done (170°F).

For a spicier version, add hot sauce to taste to dressing before using to marinate the chicken.

I made this recipe with inexpensive chicken pieces. It was delicious. Made it again tonight using Kraft Masala dressing instead of Ranch. Still yummy!! I love how crispy the chicken turns out.

I have made Shake and Bake chicken hundreds of times, and I never thought that marinating it first in salad dressing would make such a difference. Chicken turned out very moist and crispy. It was delicious. I will always make my chicken like this from now on.

I'm not a lover of shake 'n' bake chicken but when I used this recipe I loved it. I even liked it leftover which I don't with just shake 'n' bake alone.

In my pinion marinating did not make a difference. I would skip this step and safe time and calories.

I loved this recipe! Adding the hot sauce is definitly a must! Its not spicy at all, it just gives it a little more flavour. I have made it once leaving it over night and again just throwing it all together right before I made it. I personally couldnt tell a difference but my husband liked it better being made right before. Definitly a great way to add a kick to chicken!
