Take 1 chopped onion, 2 cups uncooked instant white rice and mix & match your recipe from these options...

boneless skinless chicken thighs, quartered 3 cubed peeled potatoes, 1 chopped apple, 2 Tbsp. curry powder and 1 can (10 fl oz/284 mL) chicken broth 2 cups frozen peas, thawed
beef round steak, cut into 1-inch pieces 1 can (28 fl oz/796 mL) plum tomatoes, drained 1 can (12 fl oz/341 mL) whole kernel corn, drained and 1 sliced red pepper
Italian sausage, chopped 2 Tbsp. steak sauce and 1/2 tsp. crushed red pepper 1 can (28 fl oz/796 mL) diced tomatoes, undrained and 2 chopped green peppers
boneless pork loin, cut into 1-inch pieces 1 bottle (295 mL) Kraft Sweet 'N Sour Sauce and 1 can (10 fl oz/284 mL) chicken broth 1 can (14 fl oz/398 mL) pineapple chunks, drained and 1 chopped green pepper

Then follow our 3 simple steps

PLACE 1-1/2 lb. meat in slow cooker; top with onion.

ADD sauce and seasoning. Cover with lid and cook on low for 8-10 hours (or on high for 5 hours).

STIR IN 2 cups uncooked instant white rice and add-ins. Cover and cook an additional 20 min.

A slow cooker should never be pre-heated. Simply put the stoneware container in the slow cooker base, cover and set the temperature.
