  • Heat oven to 375ºF.
  • Place cherries in 9-inch pie plate sprayed with cooking spray.
  • Blend next 4 ingredients in blender until well blended. Add flour, sugar and zest; pulse 30 sec. or until well blended. Pour over cherries.
  • Bake 20 min. Remove from oven. Heat broiler. Broil, 6 inches from heat, 2 to 3 min. or until top is puffed and golden brown. Let stand 10 min. before serving.

Special Extra

Drizzle with cream just before serving.


Substitute a 1.5-L casserole dish for the pie plate.

    couldn't find frozen sour cherries so used canned. Worked out okay. Anyone know where you can buy frozen cherries in Calgary?
