Sesame-Grilled Baby Cuttlefish

what you need

  • 1 lb. (450 g) cleaned baby cuttlefish
  •    Juice from 1 lemon
  • 1 Tbsp. grated gingerroot
  • 2 cups Bibb lettuce, torn into bite-size pieces
  • 1/4 cup Kraft Signature Asian Sesame Dressing

make it

  1. RINSE cuttlefish; pat dry with paper towels. Thread fish onto 8 wooden skewers. Place in shallow dish. Mix lemon juice and ginger; drizzle over fish. Turn skewers to evenly coat fish. Refrigerate 15 min. to marinate.
  2. HEAT greased barbecue to medium-high heat. Remove skewers from marinade; discard marinade. Grill skewers 3 min. on each side or until fish turns opaque.
  3. COVER plate with lettuce; top with fish skewers. Drizzle with dressing.

HOW TO PREVENT FOOD FROM STICKING TO THE BARBECUE

To prevent food from sticking to the barbecue, lightly brush the barbecue grate with vegetable oil before preheating the barbecue. Or, spray the cold barbecue grate with cooking spray.

HOW TO KEEP WOODEN SKEWERS FROM SCORCHING

Soak skewers in warm water for 30 min. before using to help prevent them from burning on the barbecue as the fish is grilled.
