The origins of this dish can be traced back over 2000 years to the Lord Jagannath Temple in Suri. Make everyday special with this quick and tasty dessert using Jell-O pudding and pass the smiles around.

What You Need!

4 cup milk
1 pkg.(6-serving size) Jell-O Vanilla Cooked Pudding and Pie Filling
2 apples, peeled, finely chopped

1/4 cup Back to Nature Trail Mix - Almonds, Raisins, Cranberries and Pistachios, chopped, divided

1 tsp. ground cardamom

Make It!

POUR milk into medium saucepan. Stir in pudding mix.
ADD apples and 2 Tbsp. trail mix; stir. Bring to boil on medium heat, stirring constantly.
COOL 5 min.; stir in cardamom. Refrigerate 2 hours or until chilled. Top with remaining trail mix just before serving.

Serving Suggestion:

For a change of pace, serve kheer warm instead of chilling it first.

Substitute:

Substitute chopped peeled fresh pears for the apples. Or, for a mixed fruit dessert prepare using 1 apple and 1 pear.
