2 cups flour
3/4 cup Baker's Semi-Sweet Chocolate Chips
2 Tbsp. sugar
1 Tbsp. Magic Baking Powder
1/2 tsp. salt
2 cups buttermilk
2 tsp. non-hydrogenated margarine, melted
1/2 tsp. oil
COMBINE first 5 ingredients in large bowl.
BEAT eggs, milk and margarine with whisk until well blended. Add to flour mixture; mix well.
LADLE batter into hot skillet brushed lightly with oil, using 1/4 cup batter for each pancake. Cook on medium heat until bubbles begin to form on tops, then turn over to brown other sides.
The rising action of baking powder starts acting right away when added to the liquid ingredients. For that reason, prepare pancake batter just before using for best results.
Serve with chopped oranges or bananas.
Serve topped with maple syrup.
