

1 pkg. (225 g) Kraft Dinner Macaroni and Cheese
1 Tbsp. oil
1/2 tsp. cumin seed
1/2 cup finely chopped onions
1 clove garlic, minced
1-1/2 cups (1/2 of 28 fl oz/796-mL can) diced tomatoes, undrained
1/2 tsp. dried fenugreek leaves
1/2 tsp. garam masala
1/2 tsp. ground coriander
1/2 tsp. ground cumin
1/4 tsp. red chili powder or cayenne pepper
PREPARE Kraft Dinner as directed on package; set aside.
HEAT oil in large skillet on medium-high heat. Add cumin seed; cook and stir 30 sec. Stir in onions and garlic; cook 5 min. or until tender, stirring frequently. Add tomatoes and seasonings; cook 5 min., stirring occasionally and mashing tomatoes with back of spoon.
ADD Kraft Dinner; mix lightly.
Heat oven to 400oF. Prepare recipe as directed; spoon into casserole sprayed with cooking spray. Top with 1 cup fresh bread crumbs. Bake 15 min. or until golden brown.
Add 1/4 cup frozen peas or your favourite frozen vegetable blend with the tomatoes.
Store leftover tomatoes in airtight container in freezer up to 3 months. Thaw overnight in refrigerator, then use to prepare your favourite homemade soup, stew or sauce.
