  • Preheat oven to 350 degrees F. Spread nuts in one layer on ungreased shallow baking pan. Bake for 10 to 15 minutes, stirring occasionally, until golden.
  • Cook bacon, cut into bits. Dice pickles. Mix the cream cheese, Miracle Whip, bacon, pickles and spices. Form an oval shape on your serving platter.
  • Refrigerate until ready to use. After almonds have cooled, start putting the almonds on the cheese mixture in overlapping rows beginning at bottom and going to the top. Finally top with garnish sprigs or clipping. Serve with crackers.


This is one of the best appetizers my Mother ever made. I have fond memories of her bringing this to Christmas at Grandpa and Grandmas house. Now that I am all grown up I have made this recipe many times. I made this for my husband when we were dating. I don't think this was what sealed the deal, but I can bet it helped ;) I am sure this will become a family favourite in your home too!
