  • Bake up your favourite chocolate cake from a recipe or mix.
  • Spread chocolate cream cheese between layers, and over cake. Put chocolate chips in a bowl.
  • Put butter and cream in a glass or mixing cup. Microwave on high for 15 seconds at a time, until butter is melted and cream is hot. Pour over chocolate chips and whisk, or stir with a fork, until chocolate is melted. Allow to cool to room temperature. Drizzle melted chocolate over the cake, allowing drips to run down the side.

Notes

If you have melted chocolate left over, cool it in the refrigerator and roll into small balls (1/2 - 1 teaspoon) and use them for garnishes. Push a cherry or strawberry into them for an extra treat.
