  • Preheat oven to 450°F (230°C). Spray each cup in a 6-hole popover pan with cooking spray and drizzle about 1/2 tsp. (2mL) of the butter in each cup. In a medium bowl, whisk together flour, salt and pepper. In a small bowl, whisk together milk and eggs. Add wet ingredients to dry ingredients and whisk vigorously until batter is smooth, about 2 minutes. Whisk cheese into batter.
  • Fill each of the prepared popover cups about a third full with batter; there will be batter left over. Divide the chopped broccoli among the cups, then divide remaining batter among cups, pouring it over broccoli (the cups should be about 2/3 full).
  • Bake popovers for 20 minutes, then reduce heat to 325°F (160°C) and bake for an additional 10-12 minutes or until popovers are risen and deep golden brown. Transfer popovers to a wire rack to cool briefly. Serve warm.
