  • Mix together cottage cheese, ricotta cheese, parmesan cheese and egg. In a separate bowl mix shredded cheeses (1 large block mozzarella, romano, asiago -- or any of your favorite cheeses).
  • In a 9x12 pan, ladle 1/4 of the sauce to cover bottom of pan, reserve 3/4 for other layers. Next layer noodles, more sauce, 1/2 of the cottage cheese mixture, and 1/2 of the shredded cheeses.
  • Repeat; make sure you have sauce on the top layer.
  • Bake at 350°F for 1 hr. Add reserved shredded mozzarella cheese for top layer to add after cooking. Remove from oven and let settle for 5 min. Cut into size portions you wish.


My sauce: 1 lb. hamburgers, fried and crumble drain on paper towel well 2 cans tomato sauce 2 cloves garlic, minced 1 large onion, chopped 3 stalks celery, chopped 1 shake oregano 1 shake basil 1 carrot, shredded 1 whole bay leaf (remove after cooking)
