  • For Crust:
  • Melt butter, stir in crumbs and sugar. Press into bottom and sides of 9 inch springform pan. Bake at 375°F for 5 minutes.
  • For Filling:
  • Melt 4 squares chocolate over hot water. Cool slightly. Process cottage cheese in blender or processor until smooth, add cream cheese and blend well. Mix in melted chocolate, granulated sugar and vanilla, then blend in eggs until smooth. Pour into pan. Bake at 325°F 45 to 50 minutes or until center is set.
  • Combine sour cream and brown sugar; spread over cheesecake. Return to oven for 5 minutes. Cool to room temperature. Melt 1 square chocolate and shortening over hot water; drizzle over surface of cheesecake. Chill until serving time.

Notes

This is a recipe I got off the box of crumbs years and years ago. I had looked for this recipe for months including online websites. Just found it after thinking that it was lost for good.
