  • Put Palmine in a pot and let it melt slowly. Mix eggs, cocoa and icing sugar in a large bowl. Pour Palmine into egg mixture while mixing -- mix till smooth. If needed, add more cocoa and sugar.
  • Take a form about 9 x 9 inch or so and lay it with wax paper. Spoon 1/3 of the chocolate mixture in and smooth it out with a spoon. Dip spoon in cold water so it will spread the chocolate. Place a layer of Honey Graham Wafers on top. Repeat for 3 layers.
  • When full, let it sit in a cold place for a day so the wafers will soften. After that you can put it in the freezer.

Notes

Palmine lard is found in German Bakery/deli shops. Mom only made it at Christmas because when we were all small the lard was expensive and made for a special treat.
