  • In large oven roasting pan layer this dish:
  • 1 layer of mixed meat (your choices)
  • 1 layer onions (sliced thick)
  • 1 layer potatoes (sliced thick)
  • 1 layer other veggies (sliced thick)
  • Half way cover with a pastry dough (homemade or bought)
  • Continue with more layers
  • Finish off with a second pastry layer
  • Season as you go
  • Once finished all layers.... pull back a small corner of last pastry dough and pour water into dish until liquid reaches just under the last pastry layer.
  • Start baking at 400°F, and then when the roasting pan is hot, reduce the oven temperature to 250°F. Bake approx. 8 hours.

This dish is a family favourite it will fill your home with a fantastic aroma. Leftovers can be frozen to enjoy at a later date Note: You can use your own meat mixture
