  • Cut potatoes in round slices about 1/2 inch thick. Place in boiling water until firm not failing apart. Slice onions thin then cut in half.
  • Meanwhile, prepare the sauce: In a measuring cup add Miracle Whip and flour. Whisk together. Set aside.
  • Bring the milk to a boil; boil until it starts to bubble, (then turn down low). Add the Miracle Whip/flour mixture, stir until it becomes thick. Then add in 1/2 cup of the Kraft Cheese (saving remaining for later). Whisk together until cheese is fully melted. Remove from stove.
  • In a casserole dish, pour some of the mixture until it covers the bottom of the dish/layer the potatoes in the dish. Add the onion on top of the potatoes, pour the remainder of sauce mixture over the top, add salt and pepper to taste, then sprinkle the remainder of cheese on top.
  • Bake on middle rack at 350°F for 1 hour.

Ovens vary -- 40 min to 1 hour depending. You can keep this dish uncovered. This is a very easy make ahead of time Scallop Potatoes. (Loved by my friends and family, I'm asked to make this dish every time I visit my family and friends)
