  • Preheat oven to 350 degrees F. Tear up the bread into small pieces. You could toast the bread and break it up after it cools if you prefer. Mix and mash the bread, meat, and egg in a bowl. Work the meat mixture with your hands is the easiest way.
  • Once the mixture is well mixed (you'll know when your hands need to be washed) form the mix into a loaf and place into a loaf pan. Spread ketchup over the top of the loaf.
  • Bake approximately 45 min. Use a meat thermometer in the center of the loaf. When it's done, remove from bread pan and slice it like bread to serve.

Notes

Using the recipe as is results in a very bland dish. Try using a variety of your favorite spices and ingredients to add to the mixture for extra flavor.
