  • Mix water and sugar. Sprinkle yeast. Cover with cloth and let rise in a warm place (draft free) for 20 to 30 minutes.
  • Add vegetable oil and some flour then add salt. Mix in some flour until you can turn it out onto floured surface. Kneed and add flour until it feels silky to touch. Let rise until double in bulk.
  • Make into rolls and place in well-greased pans. Punch with knife. Let rise until double in bulk.
  • Bake in 350°F to 375°F oven for 20 to 22 minutes. Brush with butter.
