  • Dust tenderloin with pepper, garlic powder, onion powder, dry rub, paprika, and seasoning salt on both sides. Place in roasting pan and add enough water to cover bottom of pan. Add liquid smoke directly on to tenderloin.
  • Bake at 350°F for 20 minutes. Remove from oven and pour BBQ sauce over tenderloin and add more water if needed. Do not pour water over the tenderloin as it washes off the flavor.
  • Return to oven bake for another 20 minutes or until desired doneness.
  • Slice tenderloin into 3/8 inch medallions and plate. There will be a wonderful sauce left in the roasting pan, using a tablespoon drizzle some of the sauce over the tenderloin.


I don't recommend using a hickory flavored BBQ sauce as the liquid smoke gives it plenty of flavor. This is an amazing dish that is so easy to make and will impress everyone.
