  • 1. In a large mixing bowl, combine the ground beef, onion, and salt. Shape into about 20 medium-sized balls. Melt the margarine in a large frying pan, and then brown the meatballs over medium heat. Turn them carefully when cooking so that they don't break. Using a slotted spoon, remove the meatballs onto a plate.
  • 2. Drain any fat from the pan. With the frying pan off heat, mix the brown sugar and cornstarch in the pan, using a wooden spoon. Stir in the pineapple (with the juice), vinegar and the soy sauce. Blend well. Return the pan to a medium heat. Heat the sauce to boiling, stirring constantly. Reduce the heat so sauce is simmering.
  • 3. Add the meatballs. Cover and simmer, stirring occasionally, for 10 min. Stir in the green pepper. Cover and simmer until tender-crisp (approx. 10 min). Serve over rice or noodles.

Notes

I personally don’t like the pineapples with the meatballs but some people do so. It's your choice :) Ask me if you have any questions.
