  • Put cut pears in a 5 litre pot.
  • Add 1/4 cup lemon juice.
  • As pears are cooking down use a hand blender to grind up the pears to a smooth consistency,
  • bring to a rolling boil.
  • Mix the Certo Light with a 1/4 cup of the premeasured sugar and add to the boiling pear mixture.
  • Bring back to a boil then add the rest of the sugar.
  • Bring back to a rolling boil and boil for one minute.
  • Pour into three half litre sterilized jars.

Notes

I made this jam from fresh, picked pears from my yard and the jam turned out beautifully.
