  • In a Dutch oven, add first 6 ingredients. Cover and simmer for about 1 hour.
  • Stir in the celery and carrots. Return cover and continue simmering for 1 hour.
  • Remove ham bone and remove meat from the bone. Return meat to soup.

Notes

If desired, place dumplings on top.
