  • Heat oven to 350°F.
  • Line 9-inch square pan with foil, with ends of foil extending over sides; spray with cooking spray. Microwave chocolate and butter in large microwaveable bowl on HIGH 2 min. or until butter is melted; stir until chocolate is completely melted and mixture is well blended. Stir in 2/3 cup sugar. Add 2 eggs and vanilla; mix well. Stir in 1 cup flour and 1/3 cup nuts. Pour into prepared pan.
  • Mix cream cheese with remaining sugar, egg and flour in same bowl until blended. Stir in coconut and remaining nuts; carefully spread over batter in pan.
  • Bake 35 min. or until toothpick inserted in centre comes out with fudgy crumbs. (Do not overbake.) Cool in pan. Use foil handles to remove brownies from pan before cutting to serve.

How to Soften the Cream Cheese

Place measured amount of cream cheese in small microwaveable bowl. Microwave on HIGH 10 sec. or just until slightly softened.
