  • Heat oven to 400ºF.
  • Combine flour and baking powder; set aside. Beat butter and sugar in large bowl with mixer until light and fluffy. Add eggs, 1 at a time, mixing well after each addition. Blend in oil and vanilla. Gradually beat in flour mixture until mixture forms soft dough.
  • Press half the dough onto bottom and 1 inch up side of 10-inch tart pan with removable bottom; spread with cream cheese product. Top with apples. Crumble remaining dough over apples.
  • Bake 40 to 45 min. or until golden brown. Remove tart from side of pan before serving.

Special Extra

Combine 1 tsp. ground cinnamon and additional 1/4 cup sugar; sprinkle over dessert before baking as directed.


Substitute 1/2 tsp. almond extract for the vanilla.


If you don't have a tart pan, you can use a foil-lined 10-inch round pan instead. Prepare and bake tart as directed. Use foil handles to remove tart from pan before cutting to serve.
