  • Heat sesame oil in large nonstick skillet on medium heat. Add carrots, onions, peppers, garlic and ginger; cook 5 min., stirring frequently. Add crumbled simulated ground beef; cook 2 min., stirring occasionally. Remove from heat. Stir in ketchup, soy sauce, cilantro and vinegar. Cool.
  • Spoon vegetable mixture onto centres of won ton wrappers, adding about 1 Tbsp. vegetable mixture to each. Lightly brush edges of wrappers with water; fold diagonally in half. Press edges together to seal.
  • Heat vegetable oil in large deep skillet on medium-high heat. Add 16 dumplings; cook 2 to 3 min. on each side or until evenly browned on both sides. Add 1/3 of the tomato juice; stir. Cover; simmer 3 to 5 min. or until juice is cooked off. Remove from skillet. Repeat with remaining dumplings and tomato juice.


Prepare using hydrated textured vegetable protein. Or, substitute cooked ground beef, pork or chicken for the simulated ground beef.

If you don't have sesame oil, you can instead substitute additional vegetable oil for the sesame oil used to cook the vegetables.
