  • Place asparagus in shallow microwaveable casserole dish. Add water. Microwave on HIGH 4 to 5 min. or until asparagus is crisp-tender.
  • Meanwhile, melt butter in medium saucepan on medium heat. Whisk in flour. Gradually add milk, mixing well after each addition. Cook 2 to 3 min. or until thickened, stirring frequently. Add cheese; cook and stir 2 to 3 min. or until cheese is completely melted and sauce is well blended. Remove from heat.
  • Drain asparagus; place on plate. Top with cheese sauce; sprinkle with orange zest.
